Inauguration of the Medical Annex at the University of Skikda
Within the framework of the celebrations commemorating the sixty-third anniversary of the people’s demonstrations of December 11, 1960-2023, under the slogan “The Epic of a People Who Wanted to Live,” this morning, Monday, December 11, 2023, the Governor of Skikda State, Mrs. Houria Madahi, accompanied by the University Rector, Professor Boufendi Tawfiq, and the President of the State People’s Council, supervised the inauguration ceremony of an annex. Medicine, which was strengthened by the University of Skikda during the current university entry, and in the presence of all of the gentlemen: the civil, security and military authorities, the Secretary-General of the state, members of Parliament in both chambers, members of the revolutionary family, the head of the Skikda district, state executives, members of the Supreme Youth Council, the state coordinator of the National Civil Society Observatory University frameworks and the media family.The governor of the state, during her inspection of the annex structures and her conversation with the students, appreciated all the efforts to open this annex, which is an important gain for our university and which comes as an embodiment of the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the efforts made by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Kamal Badari.
For his part, the Rector of the University, Professor Boufendi Tawfiq, emphasized in his speech the continued support and accompaniment of the students in their educational path, in order to ensure the provision of the best conditions, especially in terms of pedagogical and student life, for the students, hoping that this annex will culminate in the establishment of a College of Medicine affiliated with the University of August 20, 1955, Skikda in the future.
