The University of August 20, 1955, Skikda, commemorates the 70th anniversary of Student Day under the slogan:
"A Memory of Struggle and a Journey of Building" - Second Stop
The second stop of the visit included a tour by the Governor of Skikda and his accompanying delegation to the Joint Research Center for Botanical Dissemination. There, they inspected the university garden and museum, receiving detailed explanations about the museum's rare natural and biological treasures, reflecting the region's rich environment. Following this, the Governor and his delegation proceeded to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center to view an exhibition of student projects. The exhibition featured models of startups and micro-enterprises, as well as outstanding innovations by students with disabilities and the achievements of scientific clubs. The delegation also learned about the support and training services provided by the university's incubator and the Entrepreneurship Development Center to foster entrepreneurial thinking within the university community.
In the context of strengthening pedagogical structures, the attendees moved to the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, where the Governor of the State presided over the opening ceremony of the new audiovisual studio, which constitutes a real qualitative gain and addition for the students of media and communication at the university. This stop concluded with a visit to the central library, where the project to digitize the university library was reviewed and its progress was examined. This promising project aims to facilitate scientific research and keep pace with the comprehensive digital transformation of the higher education and scientific research sector, and this embodies the strategy of the supervising ministry towards moving to a fourth-generation 4.0 university.
